On 17 April 2026, in Moscow, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zheenbek Kulubaev, took part in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States, held in the context of the Organization’s 35th anniversary.

During the meeting, the heads of foreign ministries engaged in a substantive and constructive dialogue, discussing in detail key issues on the international agenda and regional security. Particular attention was paid to current challenges and threats, as well as to the prospects for further development of cooperation.

The discussion allowed the parties to align their positions on a wide range of issues, exchange views and assessments of the current situation, and outline possible avenues for further interaction.

Following the meeting, the participants approved a number of draft documents to be submitted to the higher bodies of the CIS and reaffirmed their commitment to further developing regular dialogue and deepening partnership within the Organization.

In addition, a decision was taken to hold the next meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers in October 2026 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmenistan.
